We moved into a new house last winter and as the spring came I got the best surprise, three peony bushes! The flowers were so gorgeous, that everyday for close to two weeks I photographed different stages of the flowers. I have to admit that I was sad when all of the flowers were done blooming. I do not have a green thumb at all so I am really crossing my fingers that the peonies bloom again! I hope you enjoy the peonies as much as I did!

I was so excited to meet and photograph Baby A! I have know her mom for twelve years because we used to teach at the same school! These first time parents were so calm and it really showed in the way A stayed relaxed and awake the entire session. Parents are often worried that their house isn’t big enough for an in home lifestyle session or maybe they don’t have the nursery set up yet. But that is no problem at all! I work with the space and light available and you will still end up with fantastic memories of this time in your life!

I was lucky enough to met this sweet three week old with the most amazing head of hair! Baby N wanted to stay awake for the entire session, but dad worked his magic and got him to sleep. Once he was asleep, he really slept deeply. We had no issue moving him around and even changing his outfit! I love being a newborn photographer and getting a little glimpse at such a special time in my client’s lives!

I met this sweet girl and her mom at a local Mommy Group photo shoot. I was lucky to photograph them again six month later for their spring family pictures! She had grown so much and was such a happy girl for her photo shoot! Mom even brought her own baby dress so we could get a few pictures of her daughter in the dress!

It is so nice when my friends are willing to go along with an idea I have for a photo session! I had done a photo walk in downtown Frederick in the spring and really wanted to try a family session there. The area is so pretty and quaint. It is nice to get away from the traditional outdoor pictures with trees, flowers and a lake! I am so happy with how these turned out and I hope I can convince more friends to come downtown with me!

Mom really wanted pictures with Cherry Blossoms in the background, so we really tried to wait for the right weekend! Luckily by the time their session arrived there was one tree in bloom! We only need one blooming tree and some gorgeous light to have great pictures! These boys were very entertaining and full of energy! Good thing there were a few trees to climb!

I was so excited to see this sweet family again! I met them in the fall to take family maternity pictures for them. When I arrived big brother was so excited to show me all of the stuff in his room and to tell me all about his new little brother! Mom and dad were very calm through the entire session and made going from a family of three to a family of four look very easy! I can’t wait to watch these brothers grow into best friends!

When mom contacted me for newborn pictures I was very excited because we have actually known each other since preschool! I think the last time I saw her was over twenty years ago! I loved meeting her adorable two year old son and her sweet new baby girl!
